Re: Fuel pump

Anyone ever try putting a gas station type setup in their trailer? Obviously not that big, but maybe something like a 20 gallon can with a submersible electric motor and a nozzle for easy re-fueling.

Re: Fuel pump

Check the boating supply stores. Overton's has this: item 31249
http://www.overtons.com/graphics/pro...ium/31249M.jpg

The cost is $269. Go to Overtons.com and search for 31249

and this: item 36866 $99

http://www.overtons.com/graphics/pro...ium/36866M.jpg

They also sell the pumps separately

why? (Those 12v pumps would empty a 20 gallon tank in ~500ms)

Re: Fuel pump

That depends on how big of a pump you get. I've use 110V pumps that would empty a 200,000 gallon pool in 3 days. I've also use 110V pumps that would take 2 weeks. Volts have nothing to do with it, it's the amperage of the motor.

Re: Fuel pump

A couple of guys that I know that race (the George brothers) have a similar setup with a 15-20 (?) gallon tank mounted on a cart with an electric pump that they hook up to a battery. Seems to work really well for them. Sorry I don't have more details...
