Re: Ramps, part II

As I discussed in this thread, I ordered Ohio Steel ramps from JC Whitney. They showed up today.

After a little bit of assembly, they're together. I must say, I'm quite impressed! They offer little features I wouldn't have previously expected in a set of ramps that only cost $147 + $16 S/H from JC Whitney: rubber feet on the 'ground end' of the ramps, rubber coated iron bars that hang over the lip of your truck's tailgate, foldable (they stow away in the extra cab portion of my truck) and 750 lb. (each) capacity. A tie down from each ramp to the truck and I'm good to go for loading my beloved CBR!

If you're looking for a high quality set of ramps for your bike and/or riding mower, these are a heck of a value for about half what the big name brand units cost.

Is that Line-X or Rhino Lining in your truck bed? If either, how do you like it?

Rhino - and I love it. Worth every penny. I know a guy who had the entire tub of a CJ done in this stuff. It's like steel only rubber, if that makes any sense.

Definately. I also forgot to tell ya that those sides are razor sharp. At least mine are anyways. Do yourself a favor and wear a good pair of gloves!!

You guys are too late. I lopped off my right index finger at the first knuckle.

Okay, so I'm lying. But thanks for the advice. You're right, these bastards are pretty sharp on the edges.
