New Wool Transporter Transporter (trailer) Completed

This is a discussion on New Wool Transporter Transporter (trailer) Completed within the Towing / Transport forums, part of the General Utility Vehicle Discussion category; Ouch I like the carpet on the door idea though. Of course the Duc is getting fixed so other than timing not a major down....

That's a great looking trailer Sheep. I'm jealous. All I've got right now is an open flatbed trailer.
Luckily I've been riding with a friend lately that has a 40' race car trailer that has been converted to carry the bikes, tools, and includes a bunk area.

Re: New Wool Transporter Transporter (trailer) Completed

What are some Ball Park prices as to what an 8' X 10' trailor like yours cost? I'm curious, lately I have been looking online and I'm considering buying a trailer when I get back in Cali in July.

Sheep, you have the pimp sheep hauler of sheep haulers. To all those who posted photos of their trailers thanks, especially with the bikes inside. That has given me ideas on what to expect when I take on a project like this. Where are you guys buying the E track from?

Sheep,
A funny goat story for you. I was in a dirty little country called Pakistan earlier this year. I saw goats that were painted orange with spray paint. It looked like they all had orange mullets actually. We asked the goat herder why he painted his goats orange? He replied with it's to make them more attractive so they will mate, we just smilled and agreed they look good. Later we had a good laugh when we were out of site from the goat man. He also decorated up his donkey in some custom orange and pink paint.

I'm going back tomarrow to the same place where the orange mullet wearing goats were roaming at. Hopefully I may catch another glimpse of them and take a picture.

Consider a 7x12 I have hear that 1' of width = 2' length as far as towing effects

$$ varies by brand but I would guess $4-6K

As far as etrack I got mine from McMaster Carr

FWIW: The paint sheep overseas with a dot to tell which belong to whom when in common grazing areas.

Re: New Wool Transporter Transporter (trailer) Completed

Get a 6 or 7' wide trailer.

8' is too wide, you'll be smacking it into stuff....you never want to be wider than your truck if you can help it.

Re: New Wool Transporter Transporter (trailer) Completed

For those of us that are a bit wider the 7' is a lot easier to put two bikes in but 6' would work.

Re: New Wool Transporter Transporter (trailer) Completed

I just dropped $4350 on a 7x18 v-nose, 6' interior height, and a ramp door. It works out perfect froma spacing standpoint as you can get 4 bikes (2x2 layout) in between the side door and the rear door leaving easy access to the front 4x7 area for your gear. But it is a little big...
