Re: T-Rex stands

I have set of T-Rex as well for the front, rear and fork tree. They all work well for the 954. I have spools and the bike was left suspended about a month while the forks were at Dan Kyle's with no issues. The only nitpick is the powdercoat finish. Could be a little better, but at the pricepoint, it aint that big an issue.

Re: T-Rex stands

I'm picking up a set as soon as I can. I noticed them before I saw this thread and had planned on getting them because of the price. Ya'll have me convinced now.

Re: T-Rex stands

They also make a wheel chock that looks pretty decent too. Haven't tried it but it's about half the cost of Heindl, ect., if you're looking for a trailer chock and nothing real fancy.

I saw it awhile back. I emailed them and he sent me the pic and info. It's not on his eBay store site, but they are available. About $100 shipped is what i was quoted. Not bad.

Re: T-Rex stands

Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but I just wanted to know if a 1996 900RR would need the spools or not. Anyone know? I can't get to my bike right now to check.

Thanks for any input.

Re: T-Rex stands

I am a Pit Bull fan but for the spool question check your swingarm. If there are little blocks on the bottom with a threaded hole you take spools. I am betting a 900RR will not take spools based on age.

Re: T-Rex stands

There are weld on spool kits and even ones where you drill a hole in the swing arm and put a threadcert into it to hold a spool. I think they are a lot more stable then holding it under the swing arm.
I actually have a long pipe I just put it through the rear peg brackets or infront of where they mount and use a jack stand on wither side. WAY stable and not in your way when working on the rear.

Re: T-Rex stands

I have used my t-rex stands on a ZZR600 and my current 929 with no issues. Even when my 220 lb ass sits on the bike nothing moves or bends. T-REX FTW!

Re: T-Rex stands

I have a set of T-Rex and they are fine for the price. They do flex a bit at both ends though. I like the dual wheels and rubber on the bottom of the arm so they don't slam onto the floor. But hey, you can't really compare to a pitbull but for less than half the price, I'm in.
