Re: Battery Tender Plus or Jr.

I'm rocking the Yuasa HotShot Yuasa Hotshot Automatic Motorcycle Battery Charger
seems to be comparable to the Battery Tender Jr. its done me well for 3 winters so far doing 3 of my own batteries and a couple for friends. even used it on my car battery before when it got extremely cold here and it didn't wanna start most days (my commute was only about 3 miles so it didn't charge the battery very good). it'll probably resume duty next week.

I'm pretty sure they are the same thing. One just looks fancy. I rock both of them.

I went with the 10 amp fully automatic Black and decker battery charger and it works well . No complaints. $49.95 at walmart.

Re: Battery Tender Plus or Jr.

I went a different and less expensive route. A Schumaker SEM_1562A Battery Companion. It works just like a Tender but I found it at Wallyworld (the evil retailer) for $17. It has a quick connect like the Tender and does a great job. Here's some linkage SEM-1562A - 1.5 amp Battery Companion®

Re: Battery Tender Plus or Jr.

Two BatteryTender Plus's and two waterproof's.

The waterproof units are only 800 mamp so they take longer on 'bigger' batteries, but are very portable.

Re: Battery Tender Plus or Jr.

This is one I've been eyeballing for a couple months now...

Motion Pro Tools - AccuMate V Battery Charger

or if you own a motorcycle shop this might come in handy...

Motion Pro Tools - OptiMate Pro4-S Battery Charger

Currently I use a 1 amp trickle charger made by Schumacher. It was purchased at Checker Auto ( aka Kragen, Northern Automotive) for $15.
