Kits are pretty handy unless you roll a big tire like a 180 off the rim...

I saw someone get really lucky by removing a valve core and huffing a CO2 cartridge into one, but I think it was a one in a million shot.

They have no clue how to tow a bike.
AMA offers the MoTow service for $25/year. MrX might want to look into it since he's flattening tires about once a month. Good in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and New France. Tow <35 mi, all fees included, MoTow pays up front (you don't wait to be reimbursed), emergency fuel delivery, trip interruption service (<$100 for meals and lodging if your trip is interrupted due to an accident).

Can you tell I just got my AMA renewal notice in the mail yesterday?

HRCA has free towing - including coverage for the vehicle carrying your motorcycle. They will tow your truck if your bike happens to be in the back.

It's so true, its like Michelin abuse.

Maybe a good idea to look into that.

Gotta love Cycle Gear's MotoGard program. Too bad for MrX they don't have one back there yet.

Re: Tools and Stuff for Flat Tires

That CH pump looks like the deal, so this might be a solution to a non-existant problem, but don't they make CO2 set ups for Schrader Valves?

Here's what I carry on my roadbike:

Re: Tools and Stuff for Flat Tires

Can’t tell you exact price but you can find the none-threaded version in many sporting/hunting stores and it’s very inexpensive, you can only use it with certain inflators that I used successfully on mountain bikes.
Now can someone tell me how many cartridges are needed to inflate a rear tire just enough to crawl home?

Thank slick, I think I’ll try it one day just to see how it works.
