Re: Pit-Bull front stand ???

I started off with just the fork-lift front, but after the bike fell off twice I ordered the converter for the triple and haven't had any problems since, plus it actually is better when working on them.

I love my stands, and just had the Pit Bull adapters welded on to my 96 CBR 900RR swingarm to use the spool stand.

(*****VERY IMPORTANT******IF YOU HAVE A 96-97 CBR 900RR YOU MUST GET THE RIGHT ADPTER PIN OR YOU WILL FIND OUT THE HARD WAY WHY WHEN YOU GOT TO LIFT THE BIKE AND THE FRONT FAIRING CRACKS UNDER THE HEADLIGHT DEAD CENTER. TRUST ME I KNOW)

So I guess the plan would be to semi tighten everything, then take the bike off the stand, then final tighten everything.

Also, it seems to me that the only bolts that need loc-tite are the pinch bolts. It looks like red was used. Is this correct?
I don't recall Loc-tite on the pinch bolts, only the caliper bolts. I've only heard of problems of stripping pinch bolt threads when using the fork-lift stand. I have the New Front Stand by Pit-Bull that lifts by the stem. I would think you'd be fine if you finish tightening after taking it off the stand.

My bad. You are correct. It was the caliper bolts that had the loc-tite.
