Water Pump : Honda CBR 1000RR Motorcycle Forums: ***********
here ya go guys, proof positive that shogun no cuts are fakin no good. another good bike gats faked up cause of a cheap ass no good shogun slider. this might not have happened with the motovation no-cuts, due to the extra support behind the right side puck and slider bracket. nbow this poor guy has to drop the motor in order to fix the busted water pump. |

Re: Opinions on No-Cut Frame Sliders
DemonRR is right. I did the no-cut on my '05 1krr, don't remember what brand, but the alum. brackets were nice and heavy, very well made. Bike got knocked over by a car while parked. Didn't notice leaking tube until I pulled up to a stop light, put my left foot down, and almost went down myself when my foot slipped in the coolant. This was Phoenix, AZ in August no less. The tube was a major PITA to change. Do yourself a favor, spend the extra $$ and have the cut-style installed if you don't feel comfortable cutting your fairings.

Re: Opinions on No-Cut Frame Sliders
I think ur fairings would look worse with no-cuts if you ever went down. Atleast with direct mount, you have a hole that was put there on purpose.
I have direct mount and cutting them wasn't bad, just a hole saw, dremel and the normal tools and it was a sinch. http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...r/CIMG3379.jpg |
