What are the pros and cons? Do most track day organizers/track schools allow the 2 piece. I am planning on hitting a track school and hopefully some track days next year. I know I need full leathers. I'd also like a new jacket (I don't want wear leather pants to work etc.) and was thinking two piece, should i do it?

Re: Two piece vs. One piece leathers

Track days allow two piece full circumference zipper but would rather see one piece. I wear a two to work and bring a change of clothes in my backpack. If you get serious about track days I'd get the one piece.

I think you will find a one piece will fit better over all. I have a one piece that I wear on the track, and my two piece for weekend riding. If you do get a two piece make sure that it zips all the way around the waist. The day at the track is like getting hooked on drugs. It will be calling you

I had a night-and-day difference in fit between two-piece suits and my current, 1-piece. I wear my 1-piece, regardless of where I ride.

Re: Two piece vs. One piece leathers

A close fitting two-piece sure is much easier to get into and out of than a single. Especially when you have a little sweat to make it all sticky. It took two to get me in and out of the single and my wife was to short and weak to be the second.

I have a two-piece AXO now and I really don't think my AGV single was any safer in the least bit.

Some people argue that a 2 piece lets you wear the jacket for daily street use I argue that the fit is very different than a solo jacket. My AXO top is not long enough in the torso and rides up without the pants to hold it down. Good solo jackets are designed longer in the torso for that reason.

Yep, racers that stop just get their buddies calling them with all these new bikes they should buy to get back out there.

Re: Two piece vs. One piece leathers

I got an AGV 2pc earlier this year and I love it. The jacket isn't too short either (when I wear just the jacket) and is very convenient and versatile.

One piece for the track. Two piece for the street. If your budget will allow both.
