The quickest way to break in my A*s
I have a full time job, two off duty jobs, two boys, and a loving wife. I don't have a lot of time to ride but I want to get my A* suit broke somewhat in before I go to the Gap next month. Other than put it on around the house and scare my dog what is another way, if any, to break the suit in?
Also, when I ordered the suit (The gp suit) the ad said it had mounts for the back protector. All I see is a snap on the inside by the top of the hump. Is that it or am I missing something? |

Put it on and soak yourself in it with water. Wear it around a couple of hours, then hang it up... Or wear it on the Bimmer

There are different models that can snap in there. Once you get your suit and see what you are up against go to the nearest apparrel shop and see what can fit.
WOW, man you are busy. Don't know what to tell ya other wear it on watch. |

Don't have the bimmer anymore. Too hot in the summer, waaaaaaay to cold in the winter. I'm back in the patrol car. |

The suit came with the gp tech back protector. The ad seemed to look like there would be more places it would hook to the suit.

And I hear ya about the heat... I was on the EVOC track all this week and the air temp was 101 where the track temp was 120+ .

Will the water mess up the leather?

Ok thanks. I just don't want to mess the suit up before I get to use it. |

Re: The quickest way to break in my A*s
You may look like an idiot doing so.......................alright fine, you WILL. But wear it in there for a few minutes. When you can no longer stand it, get up and stretch around a few times. You may need help getting them started off, but a that hot environment will help the leather loosen up, as will the assload of sweat.
You could actually wear them over to the shower just to rinse the sweat off as well. Make sure you hang them up rather than bunch them into a heap. Again, you'll look a fool, but they'll fit much better next time. |

Re: The quickest way to break in my A*s
So if I got into the shower with the suit on and wet it down, then wore the suit until it was damp, then hang it up to dry, it would be a little more broke in? After it was dry I would think I would need to put some leather oil on it, yes?

I don't put anything on my suits. I figure I sweat through it enough to keep it from drying out. |

Re: The quickest way to break in my A*s
You could put some leather conditioner on it if you want, it wont hurt... I condition mine once a year or so.

Re: The quickest way to break in my A*s
My commute is about 5 min. and its in my patrol car. I don't think my Sgt. would like me showing up for work in a bright red leather suit and gun belt

Seriously wearing it is the best way. Riding in it even better. |
