My Oxford Saddle Bags

Well, I finally got around up loading the pics of my oxford bags and what they looked like on the 1000RR

I have to say that I am very pleased with them over all(even if they did slightly scuff the paint ) Loads of room and very good fit and finish

I would highly recommend them to anyone who is riding a sport bike and looking at putting on a few miles you can use them seprately( tail bag and saddle bags that is) and they install with velcro and bungees in about 10 minutes.

Just thought that I would post some pics as some people were interested in seeing them on the bike...Enjoy

Re: My Oxford Saddle Bags

They are actually from some of the offices that I have worked at, they were being thrown out and they said that I could take them...figured why not, look kinda neat and take up some otherwise blank spaces on the garage wall

Re: My Oxford Saddle Bags

They look rather awkward on the blade... How stable are they? When empty? When full?

Re: My Oxford Saddle Bags

I know that they don't look as nice as some of them out there(IE conq's thread) but...I have to say empty or full they are awsome very stable and move barely at all I have had them going a LOT faster than I should have(I know, I know ) and they never moved The pics were taken after our 2000km trip and are bungee'd snug (hence the crunched up look)

Re: My Oxford Saddle Bags

Where'd you get them from? Are they a universal fit or bike specific? Did you have to install any hardware on the bike to make them mountable?

I got them as a gift from one of the local shops, I did not have to mount anything on the bike or install any hardware but it sure does help to have the factory tie downs left on the bike.

And yes the magnetic tank bag sucks on the 1000RR.(mind you so does the paint and finish )
