Removing mfg. logos from leathers...

Any tips? I love my JR GPX suit but...all the freakin' JR logos gotta go. Any tips on removing the sewn on logos without causing ANY damage to the suit? Once again, thanks for your help.

If you can remove the stitching holding the logos that would do the trick. A friend of mine did that with the JR logos on a leather jacket. Or have someone who repairs leathers remove them for you.

Considering the leather is not noted as being perforated - What are you going to do with all the stitch holes? Me thinks that will look kinda silly, especially if you are removing a lot of them.

Please enlighten, as I am sure to be misunderstanding. *emoticon of pupil sitting at desk*

There's a seamstress tool made for removing stitching, costs about a buck at your local fabric store. It has a v-shaped blade on the working end, with one prong being a bit elongated, to slip under the stitch...just push and cut.

But yes, you'll be left with noticeable holes in the leather, and maybe even an outline of the patches if the suit has been out in the sunlight for any period of time.

Find some HRC or ARAI patches or whatever gear you have and have them sewn overtop to avoid the stitch hole.
