House and Senate Western Caucuses to Hold Hearing on Western Jobs
The Congressional and Senate Western Caucuses are holding a joint hearing entitled The War on Western Jobs on July 13, 2010 in Washington D.C. The focus of the hearing is on federal policies that are having a negative impact on western jobs and the western economy. One such policy is limiting recreational access to public lands by designating huge areas as wilderness or other special designations. It is clear that motorized recreation opportunities on public lands can provide much needed economic development in rural areas.
