US FOREST SERVICE DEVELOPING NEW PLANNING REGULATIONS
WILL GLOBAL WARMING TRUMP MULTIPLE USE?

Dear BRC Action Alert Subscriber,

The U.S. Forest Service (USFS) is beginning the process of revising their regulations that govern how the agency prepares Forest Plans. Known as the "Planning Rule," these regulations will be the driving force behind how the agency develops, amends and revises their Land Use Plans.

The FS is proposing a planning rule that will shift what is left of any emphasis toward multiple use/sustained yield to such things as global warming, ecosystem management and their new buzz word - restoration.

Our action alert below gives a brief analysis and explains why BRC is concerned, and why we are encouraging our entire membership to respond.

you made mention of the Cali ride areas having problems. It's also here in Florida. Sad to say but everyone wants to moan and groan about all the rules however when asked to support letter writing or emails they "don't have time".
BRC does good work of informing us "joe 6-pack" of what is going on. Please listen up everyone. What will we be talking about if they take away our riding areas? Please lend a helping hand, it helps all of us whatever state your in.

Yes it has now become a Nation Wide issue, not just isolated to Western States. The apathy we OHV folks show by not taking the time to get involved is very problematic and WILL result in massive losses of riding area in the very near future, if it hasn't already hit your backyard . . . it WILL!!!

Get involved now folks before it's WAY PAST TOO LATE!!!

You and your area are in "THEIR" plan . . .

They've changed their name but their agenda remains the same and their success speaks for itself!
