TRX 300 4x4 (89 model)

G'day, Bit of a wood duck when it comes to mechanics, so any help/advice would be appreciated. Our old 300 starts 2nd or third kick no problems (no choke) and will continue to idle smoothly, until you apply some throttle or choke, then it dies. I have cleaned the carby thoroughly 3 times, new plug, new fuel. Any ideas???

I know you said you cleaned the carb but that is where I would say the problem lies. Speaking from my own experience.

Re: TRX 300 4x4 (89 model)

Take Carb. off and disassmble it and soak it in a GOOD quality Carb. chemical overnight. The complete carb needs to be soaked totally submerged. Then blow it out with air.
