Welcome bluey6. I have a blade on my Big Red and have been very impressed with its ability to push snow. It is one area where the Big Red's weight helps out.

So far, very pleased! It's a beast!

I am also located in SW PA...Washington County. I'll be interested to see how your Big Red handles a pull behind rototiller and bush hog!

Re: If you are new to the site, tell us a bit about yourself!

I just registered today and have not had time to study how to use the site. And on top of that my wife wants me outside to do some honey-do projects immediately. So, I clicked on "quick reply" in response to the message about newcomers to the site.
Quickly, let me say I am thinking of buying a Big Red. Would be used for deer season and various chores on my Tree Farm. I'm in Starkville, MS.
I guess I am looking for someone to say a few things about the Big Red to help me "pull the trigger" and get one. I recently sold my Yamaha Big Bear and am looking to replace it.
Gotta run, but will check back later to see if I get a response.

Welcome TA. The Big Red would be well suited for your needs from what I gather. It is a very capable work and play machine.

Re: If you are new to the site, tell us a bit about yourself!

Hi Everyone. I just brought my 2010 BR home a couple of weeks ago. BR now has a digital gauge package, hard roof, wind deflector, and a glove box door. I am new to this type of riding but have been riding motorcycles for many years.

My wife and I take BR out in the evening and climb some hills to watch the sunsets. That 's when I began thinking that more candle power would be really nice. I have been online to look at KC, PIAA, and other lights. Can anyone can make any recommendations or tell me the limitations of the electrical system? I was really wondering if the Honda auxillary battery setup is enough to power 100-130w KC lights along with a winch?

Re: If you are new to the site, tell us a bit about yourself!

Just bought a big red last week. I got rid of my Rincon, and purchased the big red so that our whole family could go for a ride.
I got a 2010 used with only 26 miles. A guy bought it and decided it was not what he wanted, so I got a great deal I think.

We live in rural area of Georgia, and I think this is going to be a lot of fun. My son and I rode 50 miles of dirt roads the first day.
I am interested in some of the accessories you guys have put on your big red.

How do you bypass speed sensor?

Hay yall! New to the site. Interested in discussing some things. I bought my olive BR in July 2010 and I love it! I have never owned anything but honda, and strongly believe honda is truly the best. After taking it to the Black Mountain offroad park in Kentucky it definetly proved itself. Living in the flatlands of the southern point of Indiana, I did not really get to test its full ability. Since I purchased it I put 27x11 terracross tires all around with itp ss112 wheels , custum stereo, digital meter, custom rear bumber ,mossy oak cab enclosure, cab heater, bed tool box, under hood storage box, and custom front bumber and winch in the works soon. I would like to ask anybody if they figured out how to bypass the speed sensor without interfering with the speedometer or the transmission shift points?? I am getting tired of the annoying sputtering at 42mph! I know it's not a rev limiter. Please let me know. Thanks!

Re: If you are new to the site, tell us a bit about yourself!

Hey there everyone... I am a proud new owner of a 2010 Honda Big Red. I've been looking at all the different UTV's or side-by-sides as some people call them. And I finally settled on the spacious Big Red. I'm 6'6" tall and need all the leg room I can get. LOL After about 2 weeks of owning my new ride; I have a few concerns... or dislikes I guess I could say. I don't like the fact that there is no speedometer, odometer or even an hour meter. I also didn't know that there was a govenor on it either... I should have also gotten the split windshield instead of the one piece. With the one piece, the dirt and debris flies in over the bed and back into the cab ontop of me and everything else.. But on a brighter note, I like the power and torque that the Big Red offers.
I am wanting to get some ideas from this forum about lift kits, larger tires, back windshields, bumpers, winch mounts and sizes, and whatever else I can add onto this GREAT machine.

Thanks to all for reading and I hope to talk to you in the forum.

Re: If you are new to the site, tell us a bit about yourself!

I live in lower middle TN. & just got a 2009 Big Red that was hardly used.

I went out in the woods with some friends 2 weeks ago with a totally stock machine & did OK but realized some upgrades would help.

I went to Mudlite XTR's on 14 inch wheels and put on a set of HighLifter springs. Now the rear tires stick out about 3 inches past the bed.

Help! I need something to keep the mud from the rear wheels from going all over.

I can't find anyone who makes flares or overfenders for Big Red. I have been looking at trying to mount a trailer fender to the bottom of the bed to keep the mud off me.

Any suggestions or info would be greatly appreciated.

Re: If you are new to the site, tell us a bit about yourself!

Hello All, Don't hate me, but I am a Deputy Sheriff, with Madera County Sheriff's Office. This past year I assisted the department in purchasing some needed new equipment. These purchases were from the OHV Green Sticker grant program in Ca. We have been involved in this grant for 10 years. This is the first time we have purchased anything, since we started up this program 10 years ago. We started with (2) Suzuki king Quads 250’s and (2) Suzuki DR 650’s.

The mission with the MUV is to assist the deputies with patrolling all areas within Madera County. This includes rider education, lost persons, injured riders and transpiration of those who go too far and get arrested.

All, the deputies on the OHV unit ride on their free time as well. Many of us have children that ride as well.

I am currently working on changing the roll cage around on the MUV. My goal is that we will be able to load an injured person into the passenger side of the MUV with the head of the injured rider in the cab and the feet out in the bed. This is to provide safety for the injured person, should we roll the MUV.

It was all about the safety of the riders in the UTV/MUV. The area where I patrol has steep hills. Width also played a major part. Ok, price as well.

The MUV is equipped with, Big Horn Tires, Winch, Dual batteries, two piece windshield, hard roof, emergency red/blue lights, siren, 45 watt department radio and rechargeable flashlight.

You can visit the department’s web site: www.madera-county.com/sheriff/ohv

Live to ride another day.

Ok about me.

I own a 2003 Honda Rincon, 2006 Honda 450x, 2006 Honda 150f and 100 and last a Honda crf 70. All goes into my Jayco toy Hauler, where the family and I spend weeks at a time camping and riding.

One, day I will have a Honda MUV.

New to the site, I just got a 2011 BR. I plan to install ITP 589's most likely 27 x 11's all around, on stock rims. Has anyone installed 28's without a lift? I am also considering 28 x 9's all around. Any advice?

Hi from Michigan. I purchased a "Big Green" last week and love it. It will mostly be used to work the yard, but hope to take my granddaughters on the trails. I have 2 friends who already have "Big Reds" and they loved them so much I had to get one.
