Wind Sheilds
Hi.
I am a new Big Red owner (2 months). I bought her a hard top a speed and hour meter and an under hood storage box. So far I love her. (Except she doesn't start in cold weather too well.) I am contemplating a wind shield. I have ridden in a polaris UTV with a half wind shield. The owner blocked it up about 7 inches as it was too low and was blowing wind right in his face. The new height was perfect, you could see above it yet no wind in the face. I like the idea of the half wind shield as you still feel like you are outdoors, and don't have the frost issue. How are the Big Red half Wind shields? |

Re: Wind Sheilds
I have the Honda 3/4 flip-out, 1/4 fixed position windshield. Overall I am satisfied. Air flow is marginally good when it is opened. It is very easy to completely remove the top 3/4 section for hot days. It travels well on the trailer (no worries about wind blowing it out, even at 65 mph). I have found no combination however where it helps solve the dust problem.

Re: Wind Sheilds
I too have the Honda two peice winsheild. My opinon save the money and go with a one peice.
* Air flow is minimal through the split when opened. * More air flow between the hood and windsheild on both sides with the two peice. * Rattling of the two peices design of the windsheild is enough to drive someone crazy ![]() Just my 2 cents. |

Re: Wind Sheilds
I have the two piece also and it is just as tbear stated, alot of noise but the worst thing I can fine about the windshield is the dust that will come with it when you install it. Get ready to be dusted out when you go down a dusty dirt road.
