Calling all mechanics
I just finished a complete top to bottom rebuild on a 09 MUV700.
with the finished engine on the bench with the plug out and the tappet covers off I begin to roll the motor through checking for any interference. As the piston comes up on the compression stroke the exaust valves crack open then close(normal decompression I presume). But on the pistons way back down there is a slight tick. Could this be the decompression mechanism disengaging???? Has anyone Ran into this yet?? I really wanna know if I have a problem b4 I fire this rig up ya know! Im a 20 year mechanic and never have I heard this. Then again this is my first MUV 700 to overhaul. And yes I've tore back in it and triple checked myself. Suggestions please......... |
