Has anyone tried 28" x 9" tires without a lift?

My stock Dunlop 24x10x12 tires are approaching the end of their life. Upon a recommendation of a friend, I am considering 25.5x10x12 Pit Bull Growlers. Research indicates that these will actually measure 25.5 but I think my Hippo would fit 26 with no problem, so they size seems to be right. Am also looking at mounting these on ITPss108 aluminum wheels. Any thoughts or experiences with these tires would be much appreciated. They receive great reviews and glowing testimonials from those who have already purchased them. Am considering getting all four the same size.
Our trails are mostly hard pack sand. gravel and a little clay and some rounded rock and logs. Mostly typical Upper Midwest Northwoods trails in the forest. Only on a couple of occasions have I even needed 4 wheel drive on even the stock Dunlops. Have not done much snow riding yet but obviously here in the Wisconsin Northwoods and Upper Penninsula of Michigan we get more than our share.
Is this the right size tire?
Other than the coma inducing price, are there any know bad experiences or negatives to these tires?
Any negatives known to these wheels?
If I do purchase these, there is no debate about us having to raise our household debt ceiling.

I don't think you will have any issues with that tire and wheel setup. I am running 26-12-12's on all four corners with no issues so the 25.5" should be just fine.
