Last time I called big gun they just put that in there catalog to see how many orders they would have for them they didn't even have one built for the big reds yet

Yesterday my son and I removed the muffler from the big red. This unit was purchased in January of 2011. Anytime the motor rpm builds there is a rattling sound/noise. I have been trying to locate the source since purchasing the big red.
I finally found it. It is coming from the exhaust "Muffler". We removed the muffler to make sure it was the source. Although very loud without the muffler the rattling noise was gone. The tube within the muffler appeared to be intact. The muffler bolts are protected by rubber grouments to prevent metal to metal surfaces. I don't know what is inside a muffler? I just know this is the source of the noise. Monday I will call Honda to see if they can offer any help. It maybe harmonics and "is what it is" Has anyone else had this issue? |

i just put 29.5 outlaw 2's on my big red. yes it looks awesome, but imo the big red was not made to handle this. others may tell you different. i know extremerancher was running 30 mudzillas and 31 outlaws. i broke an axle and the rear gear in my tranny within 4 days trying to turn these tires. both times i did have about 400 extra pounds in the bed plus a passenger. 2 wheel drive was not so much an issue. 4 wheel locked diff was nearly impossible in mud. perhaps i messed up when i changed to 2" exhaust piping which caused me to lose low end. i am going back to my 28" wide radials.
