Honda CRF450R

The service intervals in the honda manuals (for motocrossers anyway) are ridiculous for the average rider, maybe if u were mounting an assault on the AMA national series u would follow these intervals! Dont flame me as Im only going off memory and this was a long time ago, but i think that the interval for ring replacement on the CR125 was someting like 9.5hrs, I think if you take these recomendations as racing hours well then its not as bad as it seems. If you use good quality oil, take care of your air filter and always warm the bike up well before giving it a caining you can get considerable mileage before u need to rering, even for a 125 thats ridden most weekends u can get away with reringing just a couple of times per year and still be within the service limits when the engine is pulled down!
