Solid bike, very strong - heavy but reliable... Hmmm what else can I say, what do you want to do with it? It's more road than trail so if that is your thing then you can't go wrong.

What are you planning on doing with it? Then I'll let you know what my opinion is.

I've had a 99 for a few years now. It not as fast as you'd expect from a 650, and the stock performance is kinda dissapointing. There are some simple mods to wake it up, but it's still not a fast bike.
It is really fun to ride however. It handles most trails and does the highway reasonably well. I was considering selling mine, but figured I'd want one later on so I decided to keep it. Overall, I'd recommend it if you want the type of bike that will do everything.
