soft rear brakes--cr125

my rear brake pedal seems a little soft. bled the brake line to remove any air that could have gotten in. stiffened it up a bit, but not quite where i like it. any suggestions to increase the braking power a bit?

Re: soft rear brakes--cr125

Steel braided lines will help, and make sure you bled them properly.

Honda MX bikes have the best brakes in the business, so something sounds wrong to me.

Re: soft rear brakes--cr125

when i did bleed the line, the only fluid i had on had was dot3. it states to use dot4 only. would that make a difference to bleed #3 completely out and refill with #4?

I doubt it would cause a problem you would feel - but either way I would definitely put the recommended fluid in there. Motul is what I always ran in my MX bikes.
