I thought it would be an "on the street and between the sheets" comment.

When you get out of the water you need to dry off right away to avoid catchin' a cold. That's why Towelie says, "Don't forget to bring a towel."

In all seriousness, though, it's 80% rider, 20% bike, and I was just having a little fun with you. I have no opinion that is in direct opposition to yours, and only took you to task on the "I usually win" comment (easy to talk big on the internet, right? ). Everything else you said in your first post makes perfect sense to me.

Now quit being tho thenthive about my "attack."
I like you Pete! I knew you were a man of quick temper and sound judgement. Are you my lost brother? Cuz if you are - you aren't good with the ladies!!!

Re: Dirt Bike bound...

Not to mess up the thread or anything, but I had an interesting experience over the weekend. I took my cousin's 2000 CR125 out for a spin. I was cracking up the whole time I rode it...I don't think I lifted off the throttle...ever. But it was so much easier to ride than my bike.

Re: Dirt Bike bound...

Naw, they live on 11 acres, and the neighbor's 42 are connected and ridable (no house).

We didn't end up riding long, the other bike, a KX 100, had a chain so stretched we couldn't even adjust it enough to keep it on the rings. We learned the hard way there aren't any bike shops open past 4 on a Sat out there.

Next time dude.

Yeah, having some open land of your own to play on is a lot of fun.
I'm surprised MotoX Outlet wasn't open.

First you brag about winning races all the time, now you're bragging about your little hottie g/f or whatever.

I hate people who brag over the Internet.

Yep - and I can back both of them up. However, don't look too closely at the pictures of me winning the race and my wife....my Adobe Photoshop program is hard to use and when I morphed my head onto McGrath's body and my picture next to Carmen Electra - it didn't look to good.

Re: Dirt Bike bound...

SMTB: There is no need to buy a $6k dirtbike for your first dirt ride. Llike someone said, it would be stupid to buy a brand new 1000 Gixxer for your first bike to learrn on. Buy a 1990's 4 stroke in the 250 to 400cc range for $1500, flog the hell out of it, learn to ride, and when the bike, not your riding skills becomes the limiting factor, and your hooked on off road riding, then step up to a bitching new CRF450 or whatever. I would suggest Honda XR250, XR400 or Suzuki DR350.

Re: Dirt Bike bound...

More I think about it if this is your FIRST jaunt in the dirt - stick with a 250 4 stroke.

If you have a death wish, or have ridden before in the environment your apt to ride in - go for the 450.

The XR400s are actually pretty fun. Plus they're indestructible.

Re: Dirt Bike bound...

Take a look at a KTM 200,250 or 300EXC they are amazing 2t enduro bikes. Light, reliable and simple to maintain. You should be able to find nice used ones at great prices. Take a look here http://www.ktmtalk.com/
