Bet you're right!

Mileage is not a 2-stroke's best feature!

Maybe if it was someone I really didnt like.

Starting with a CRF450 on dirt is like starting out with a blade on the street, it can be done but isnt the smartest of choices.

My is its better to start on a CRF250 and learn some more aggressive riding techniques then bump up to a 450 when you're ready.

My point was that it's pretty lame to claim to be a "winner" while you're sitting behind a keyboard.

Nowhere did I claim that a 4-stroke would be better than a 2-stroke for SMTB. I'm very new to dirtbike ownership, so I don't have a wealth of knowledge to share on the subject, and don't pretend to.

I tend to agree, based on the fact that I know I am "in over my head" with my 450.

You are lame for making a big deal out of NOTHING. Good God. I NEVER said a 2 stroke would be better. I gave my opinion and let THE RIDER decide. I have owned dirt bikes all my life and have rode all types - that's why I gave him my honest opinion. If that's not enough to satisfy you.....oh well.

Why is that eating at you so much Pete? I usually beat 4-strokes when we race. That's what I meant. My CR250 handles like a dream - it's light. That's the difference. The 4-strokes tend to be a little heavier so given that - I usually edge my 4-stroke buddys out in a race or a hill climb.

BTW - THEY never make an issue out of it. We all laugh and go on with life. Hint , hint........

No need - I think it's just a difference of opinion. He has a view and I have a view. However, he went on the attack right off the bat. I don't think that's what a moderator should act like.

No need to apologize! I like his spirit..... he's probably a blast to ride with! I can guarantee you he could teach me a thing or two on the street! He seems to have my personality.....

I don't have a life other than what I have here on the internet. I'm a true loser in life, and I can't come to grips with the fact that I'm surrounded by people who are happy and successful. It helps me feel better when I put others down, gives me a sense of worth.

In all seriousness, though, it's 80% rider, 20% bike, and I was just having a little fun with you. I have no opinion that is in direct opposition to yours, and only took you to task on the "I usually win" comment (easy to talk big on the internet, right? ). Everything else you said in your first post makes perfect sense to me.

Now quit being tho thenthive about my "attack."
