Glamis 2004

Whats up fellas, I know this isn't the forum for this but it kinda is. i just got back from Glamis CA. and I must say it gets better as the years go by. who knows maybe I can take a new buggy next year or something. This year I took my Yamaha Banshee 929?! This was the first time I had really got to "get on it" and boy that sucker gets it for an ATV. I was handing out whoopins the whole time. I must have dragged up Olsmobile about 100 times, each time just loving the feeling of 1. Sea level air 2. paddle tires w/ 126hp's . Don't get me wrong I also got my arse handed to me by a couple of different animals. The only one worth sharing was the one where I get through the whoops at the bottom of ols in front of everybody, w/a smile from ear to ear, and whoosh, I see for a moment before having my body sandblasted and my ear drums poped, a meth burning banshee pull ahead with the wheelie bar being used at max and the front wheels still floating. I had to almost stop because the sand felt like it went through my arms, Damn I still can't get over that! Anyways the 929 powered bansh still needs some bugs worked out, but it was awsome just to have a toy built for the Dunes. Took more then a few months to get together but was worth every minute. If you have never been out there make a plan to see it once its worth it. This was my 5th year there and it will be with me forever......maybe not as long as year 3 when I snapped my arm on the glamis jump and had 7 screws and a plate put in my arm, but you get the point. Sorry for the long stuff, the 954 is put away so thats probably the last thing I will ride till spring. So it's off to the slopes for now, yet another sport that has helped me obtain titanium limbs

You don't have to have PayPal... It goes through like a normal CC transaction. (Technically, a PayPal account will be created for you in the background at the end, but you can cancel it if you don't want to keep it.)

Re: Glamis 2004

Some day I'll make my way out there. I know a lot of guys with some pretty sick sand toys that are quite fun. The top two so far would be the the turbo R1 powered Banshee my friend built and a buddies Tatum rail with a built LT-1 in it. WOOOOHOOOO those two haul arse. I just want to see Robbie Gordon in his Baja truck, I guess the boy is off his rocker out there.

Re: Glamis 2004

Last years trip me and only 1 of my bros went and by the 2nd day his shoulder was seperated So the riding was cut pretty short, no fun riding by-yourself. So we realized our trip was cut short and started driving around getting footage, we go to "the jump" and lo and behold Gordon playing Jordan in his truck! That was freakin wicked! He was catching more air in his truck then most were doing on there bikes, and he was damn sure higher then me when I fell out of the sky and broke my $hit Seeing Gordon is what made that trip, we got to say a few words to him and all in all he's a pretty cool guy. This place is like Marti Gras in the sand at night and in the day a riders dream. Like I said if you can get out there do it you won't regret it
And if I had a cc I would have forked over the doe and posted plenty of well worth it pics .
