Heat?! I was out your way 2 weeks ago and distinctly remember wearing sleeves at night. The high temps got up to 90 towards the end of the week and everyone was calling it a heat wave. The low humidity was nice, but I can do without the constant threat of wildfires.

Sorry; nice bike Reaper!

I can't help but laugh at the heat reference....come on out to Tucson and ride here when it's 105 outside, then you can go back to Cali and realize how well off you are.

Mr.X...you can ride it anytime you want. Just let me know when you're on the way over

It is hot as hell out there, and the Bay Area doesn't compete (though other parts of Cali do) but in our defense, it has been over a hundred the last few days here.

Sweeeeeeeeet if I leave now I can be there in 60hrs tops, actually if I can make the drive in 60hrs in a UHaul towing a trailer I bet I could get there slighly faster in a pick up, even faster than that on my 954

I'll let you know when I'm on my way

You know the 450x is out in Feb, right?

(just think of torque, not power...more torque = better, right? )

..actually if I weren't so portly a steed, I'd prolly roll a 250 myself - them things (read as: Honda 250's) kick ass!

Reaper - congrats you won't be disappointed...just remember to change the oil and, are they putting Al oil filler plugs in the R's now as well? ..used to use these cheesy plastic things that were huge...icky

Re: Got me my new toy today.(PICS)

Apon really pissing my neighbors off for the past few days I have come to a few conclusions about the baby thumper.

1: It feels like I'm riding my mtn bike.
2: For a 250 it hauls ass.
3: Very easy to start as compared to my friends Yamaha(don't have to deal with that compression release crap)
4: It feels like I'm riding my mtn bike!

Now I just need to get it in the dirt and see how it is there . Have a ride with a bunch of friends planned for tomorrow morning so stay tuned for an update.

HAHA I know all about pissing off the neighbors. They used to love when I was working on my banshee cause it always was followed by a nice warmup ride up and down the block

Re: Got me my new toy today.(PICS)

My only advice - unless you're planning on being airborne, take those clickers out a few steps in either direction before you try to beat it up...I felt like running mine at full "OE" setting, then remembered it was an MX bike and I was riding it on trails and uhh...eventually I healed
