This is why I won't put them on my bike...I know 2 people who broke their wrists going over the bars with Barkbusters.

I've personally found that while hanging on while crashing after I installed mine that my last 2 fingers no longer are swollen when I get home. I just have the aluminum bars without the flange things.

They will - but the p/t mounts I bought for them busted off (before it left the shed!) I dubbed them crap (mounts) and tossed em aside. But you're welcome to the busters, pay shipping and I'll get them in the mail sometime between now and next March, guaranteed!

(seriously, if you want some decent barkbusters - I doubt Ill ever be using them again, and I beleive I DO have the barends for the tapered bars, just no center mounts)

Out here you can't ride anywhere (good single track) and expect to have knuckles left if you don't have something there unfortunately. I sorta hate it as well as they are distracting as phunk. I used to have bloo ones but I kept fixating on them coming into really tech. sections and end up washing out or pulling bark out of my helmet air vents

Re: Hand Protection Installed

Well, we just trail ride (branches, trees, weeds, etc), so these are helpful.

I still really struggle to ride in weeds that are very tall at all. When I was 14 I hit a 1' + tall rock in the weeds wide open on my 80...split my helmet, broke ribs....
