Took the family out to Cross Creek MX

Had a great time....Spent the first half hour playing cattle dog, reeling my boy in as he ran all over the ground with with power wheels m/c. That seemed to agitate him because the old man kept running him down and turning in front of him and pointing the other direction. It all came to a head and he broke down into tears because his power wheel isn't fast enough I mean a heart broken, sobbing, fit throwing, temper tantrum. He definitely takes after me in that dept... So I took him out on the 500 for a few laps...His gleeful squealing must have meant he was having fun. So, he and I are heading to the Honda shop tomorrow to see what they have in his size. Anyone else started a 3yr old out on gas? Suggestions welcomed.

CRF50 definately. The Suzuki and the Kawi are way underpowered Probably less than the powerwheels. The CRF has a throttle limiter and has plenty of room to grow and a key to keep junior out of trouble if you arent there to watch. Plus its a Honda. Just dont be suprised if you go back a couple of weeks later because they can be fun for big kids too. There are a couple of different types of training wheels to and I would reccomend the oned that attatch mid frame and not to the swing arm. They have a tendency to bend and come off.

A definite requirement in my book....I will probably do that shopping online or at the local Cycle Gear unless the stealer throws in a great deal but that is probably not likely as the CRF50's seem to be hot commodities these days due to the adult fun factor as well...

Yep, saw them advertised on ebay around $50. I will do some checking to see if that is a good price or not. Thanks for the info....

Don't know what to recommend in the "mini-kid" bike market, as I haven't kept up lately, but I can tell that you are a great Dad! I too had a super father!

Re: Took the family out to Cross Creek MX

Also check the local newspaper and cycle trader as now is about the time that Junior decides that the CRF or XR 50 (the same except for "bold new graphics) that was under the tree isnt any fun to them and they wish they had just gotten the Tickle Me Elmo with the Kung Fu Grip... Mom and Dad will make a steal to recoup some $$$.
And you want these type training wheels and not these
