Re: Cleaning stock BR air filter

My service manual calls for applying Honda Foam Filter oil to a clean filter in the amount of .7 oz. This does not seem possible that this small of an amount would be sufficient. Is it possible that it should be 7 ounces? If it is .7 oz, how do you apply it so thinly and evenly? Does my manual have a misprint? Though I am approaching 60, I did use my good eye to read it and even used a magnifying glassMaybe I need a stronger magnifying glass
Thanks for any responses

Re: Cleaning stock BR air filter

When I was racing off road we used to place the filter in a plastic bag and apply the oil once inside the bag. Then we would work the oil into the filter by squeezing the filter repeatedly until it was all covered. Never took much oil but then again I am Canadian and an ounce means nothing to me so maybe .7 is right.
