Checking in from Texas
I am from North East Texas and picking up my BR later in the week. I am waiting on the dealer to get in a few of my parts. I will be adding a Pro Box Top, 15" MSA Crucher Wheels with Moto Grip tires, Honda Split opening windshield, and speedo. I am considering a lift but going to wait and see how I like it without. Not putting this thing together for mud riding just hanging out at the rides and watching the others have fun. I have already spent my time in the mud. I will also be working on some bumpers and other little things to make it stand out.

Re: Checking in from Texas
![]() Got it home today only have the wheels and tires on so far. Running MSA 15" Crushers and 26x11x15 Motogrip tires. Waiting on the Pro Box they are running about two weeks behind. Got to get to work tomorrow on the instrument panel, 2" Xtreme lift, Gun rack, Floor mat, CV Gaurds, and adding some extra lights. I hope I dont regret adding the lift it sits good right now and no rubbing but I seen one today in green with different wheels and the lift next to mine and it looked awsome. I will have to say I am a die hard Honda man when it comes to ATV's but I looked at Polaris and Yamaha but there is no comparison. The Polaris and Yamaha may come with the bells and whistles but the durablity is not there. I know with a Honda it is bullet proof. Last edited by Missile; 04-29-2011 at 11:30 PM. |

Re: Checking in from Texas
When the Big Red first came out everyone complained about the bike looking ugly. One guy photoshopped in some larger tires and it totally changed the look of the bike. When I look at my bike with it's new tires and rims and yours here it confirms what this guy said. Now if Honda would take a hint a install a decent looking tire and rim package they would have a nicer looking product.
Still cannot wait for the roof install. It is going to look sharp.

Re: Checking in from Texas
Hey sfrankland do you have any regrets about putting on the lift. I dont wont to loose the handle the machine has now. I am also thinking of a new steering wheel like the one from superatv, you got any feed back on it or suggestions.

Re: Checking in from Texas
No regrets with the lift or removing the sway bar and I have not noticed any reduced performance or handling issues. As for a replacement steering I still run the stock one and don't know anyone running an aftermarket one.

Re: Checking in from Texas
Its been a few years since I have been up to Wolf Pen Gap. I will probably be heading back up there soon. I never have been to the other places you mentioned I will have to check them out. After 15 years of riding motorcycles my wife finally started going with me so we pretty much go some where every weekend on the bike that we can. I am planning on going on some weekend rides with the BR since we can both ride in a little more comfort. I like going to the mud runs and just watching everyone else act a fool and tear up their stuff. (I use to be that fool wondering why people were riding around on clean machines watching me now I know)
