Try again?

Our local dealer also carries Yamaha and Kawasaki. They sell more Teryx than Rhinos, but they don't even carry the BR. I would like to hear from owners how they like the trans? That is one of the bigger draws for me. The wife and I are in our late 50s and currently both ride ATVs. I am considering the BR as a replacement for them. We live in NE NV and we have thousands of miles of old 2 track roads in a state that is 90% federal lands.
I like the larger size for our 2 dogs and I want to rack my mountain bike as well. Any thoughts/opinions are appreciated.
Bert

Re: Try again?

I ride with two Rhino's, two Teryx's, one Ranger and one RZR the Honda is the widest. Top speed is just a tick over the Rhino's but slower that the others. The Honda has the smallest engine and a single cylinder so there is some vibration. The transmission is where it stands out all the guys I ride with love it do to the control over the wheel speed and compression driving down hill and in most cases w/o the brakes. If you don't need the fastest but want the most stable, reliable and safest machine out there and a transmission Big Red is your machine.

Re: Try again?

OOPS forgot about the Dealers. My local dealer is the same as yours sells the Teryx and Rhino but not the BR. It has something to do with there total sales or something that they are not allowed to sell the BR.

Re: Try again?

Thank you. That sounds exactly like the kind of riding we want to do and I was hoping the trans was a deal maker not a deal breaker. The CVT belt drive is one of the worst for power loss. I like the approach taken by Honda. I also like the stability. My sons get a little nuts in there SxSides and I don't feel compelled to keep up or take the same route choices. I do like to go out and play with em, but they have converted theirs to 4 seaters and almost always have the grandkids along with them. I can keep up with them then and even dust em on the roads with my King Quad.
