Re: br tire upgrade

they will fit the rims, but you will experience some rubbing without a lift. you will be safe with running a 2" lift. they are not that expensive and give you extra ground clearance.

Re: br tire upgrade

thanks for the reply and do you have a lift kit you recommend?
i've looked at high lifter and also have heard that their springs alone might work for a little lift

Re: br tire upgrade

the springs are supposed to carry a higher load rating which results in a stiffer spring. yes, it will give a little lift. if you do not have a bunch of heavy acc it may be enough.
i bought the gorilla stage 1 lift kit which gave me approx 2-1/2" of lift. i am fixing to get 28's which should fit easily with no rubbing. i would not get this kit cause it is a little pricey. highlifter, super atv, and strong made all have 2-3" lift kits which should work good.

Re: br tire upgrade

Maybe a little bigger... Same tires that come on the 2011 stock but 27" instead of 25"

Re: br tire upgrade

u must have gotten lucky. mine is a 2009.i thought it may be because mine has extra weight w/ battery, winch, custom top, etc but i see you also have extra weight. i had 26" with no lift, but no way i was getting 27" without rubbing. i am not one to get bigger tires just to say i have such and such size tires when they are rubbing every time i turn.

Re: br tire upgrade

i am going to do the same just with 28". they are some of the lightest tires and get really good reviews. i like the idea of same size all the way around. 10" too skinny, 12" too wide. hopefully i will have all 28x11x14 by the end of next month. i have heard they run small. so make sure so you dont end up with a 25" tall tire.

Re: br tire upgrade

i went with 4ea 28x12x14 outlaw radials all the way around and i love them. went to an atv park this past weekend and have no complaints. i previously had 26x9x12 on the front with 26x11x12 on the rear. the steering is nearly the same. the look and traction is superb. i highly recommend this setup.

Re: br tire upgrade

what do the tires you are running actually measure and what psi are you running? my 28" tires measure 27" exactly w/ 7.5 psi. everyone has a different method of measuring. i use a level at the highest point and measure down to the pavement. every brand or model of tire will measure differently...ie maxxis, itp, high lifter.
also i assume you have a 2011 if you have 3 adults with the bed filled. i am not aware of any suspension changes from previous years, but the payload is more so it probably has stiffer or heavier springs which do not lift, but lessen sag.
all of these factors amongst others influence ride height and ground clearance.
