new big red owner questions noise and vibration
i've owned my br for 2 months now and love it but was wondering if all br's
vibrate inside the cab so loud you have trouble talking to your passenger? and can i go with a 27 inch swamp lite with no lift. thanks in advance sean

I have some vibration but it's not that bad. Where does the noise sound like it is coming from? As for the tires I am running 26" swamp lites with a 2" lift (wished I went with 27's) and I think you would be very close to rubbing without some sort of lift.

The vibration points I have found are the back side of the roof hitting the roll bar and the front windshield hitting the dash. Both were an easy fix with some rubber tape like is used on top of the roll bar. Also I found after a few months everything on the windshield needed to be tightened up a little. I am running 27" maxis big horns and no lift. They rub every blue moon but not bad at all.

I found that the catches for the bed squeaked but a little grease on them solved that.

thanks guys i'll check those spots and try to fix them. the noise is driving me crazy. hopefuuly this will fix it and im looking forward to putting on the 27's. one more question and i know its a preference thing but does anyone have an oppinion on the types of tires to go with i mostly ride trails and work around the yard but i would love to have a more aggressive tire thanks again

I have run the swamp lites both on the trail in the mud and over the lawn and have found them great all around tire for my driving conditions. I would suggest to ask riders in your area to see what works for them. A tire that is good in one area may not be as good in another type of riding area.

I love the maxis bighorn and they come standard with the 2011. I just went up to 27" instead of the stock 25"..
