Earning her keep

Was hauling the birch fire wood from where it was dropped off to the wood pile. Don't have to go far but I think I need to add side boards so I can stack more in the back of her. Sure beats the old wheelbarrow. Sorry but it was dark when I snapped the pictures.

Nice, looks good.

Could you dump it or was it to heavy?

Re: Earning her keep

I stacked the heavier stuff in the middle and rear rows. It made dumping rather easy which surprised me. I have hauled a few loads of green wood that have required me to unload the bike by hand.

Re: Earning her keep

She was squat in the rear but it wasn't that bad. Made turning a lot easier on pavement though. I was only going across the yard with this load so it wasn't bad but when I have hauled wood out of the woods then I noticed she was a little light on the steering side but because of the load speed wasn't a factor so it didn't make any difference. I did find she was better on rough uneven ground because she flexed more and didn't spin out like she often does in 2x4. I have the sway bar removed by the way.

Re: Earning her keep

That almost looks like my load sat. it wasn't quit that big but me and a couple of friends went spend the weekend at an Atv park and while riding sat. We found a nice stack of wood that they had pushed down a while back so it was nice and dry and made one heck of a bonfire ;-)
