Want to buy overhead stereo console, sugestions
I want to purchase an overhead stereo console for my '09 BR. Any suggestions as to brands or where to purchase. Any help would be appreciated.

Personnally I could not find any that i liked whether it was a soft or hard roof. A friend of mine had a black diamond plated roof & stereo console on his Polaris Ranger which he purchased from the dealer (it was expensive). I also inquired about one from the dealer and they informed me of a guy who could make one for around $650 -$700. Hence I decided to buy and build my own. Depending if you have a need (or want) of extra diamond plate (you could always sell it to someone) a sheet of sliver alum diamond plate cost me around $154. I used 60" x 40" for the roof only and had a lot left over. Black steel diamond plate was cheaper (think around $125) but i didnt care for it.
A neighbor of mine has a metal shop and charged me $100 to cut and weld the roof & stereo console. Its not that many cuts and welds and I brought him the cardboard templates to trace. All in all I have $154 in the diamond plate, around $130 for the radio & speakers (ebay) and a $100 in labor (and a few bucks for the wire, connectors and u-bolts. $400 in all plus a enough diamond plate to go all over the rest of BR. |

I have tried a few and the dirt and vibration kills the CD players. I am going to try a factory Jeep radio with Aux jack so I can use my Sirius Head and a direct plug.
