Re: Rear dust really bad on Big Red?

Thanks for the info and picture. What is your brace made of and how did you fasten it to the top and bottom parts of the bracket? What keeps it in place? I take it you cannot close he windshield without removing the braces...
Thanks again

Re: Rear dust really bad on Big Red?

The braces are made out of wood (survey post from Home Depot). The have a small groove in the bottom closest to the driver that just fit the windshield harware. I attach them with zip ties (if you look close u can see them, to and bottom)

Yes, u have to take them out to shut the windshield... only takes two seconds. If u are like me, most people never notice that the original windshield has releases at the bottom fold-out latches.

Re: Rear dust really bad on Big Red?

Thanks for the info. Special thanks for making me aware that the windshield brackets are detachable. Missed that completely. I assume that if I go to Home Depot and ask for survey posts, someone may know what they are. Did you drill holes into the brace to pass the zip tie through?

Yes... just drill a small hole at each end. I use the longer zip-ties at the bottom so I can go through the brace twice (see picture) so you can keep the brace from sliding around.
