Re: Lift Kit For Big Red

I installed in highlifter kit and disconnected the rear sway bar and have found a big difference. I have a full 2" of extra clearence a small improvement in the over all ride. I will post a few pics later of the install.

Re: Lift Kit For Big Red

I ordered the Highlifter 2" ATV Lift Kit for the Big Red and must say I am very pleased with it.* The extra clearance is well worth the price of the kit.* I figure with a 26" or 27" set of tires it would be near perfect for the areas I ride.*

I also disconnected the rear sway bar and have found it better all around.* I have greatly improved traction in 2wd and a slight improvement in 4wd.* I also found that the bike has a better ride over rough terrain.* I think that when I build my rock rails and cage extension I may remove it all together.

Before the lift.

Front lift installs on the bottom of the front shock.

The pay off is a full 12" of front end clearance.

Before the rear lift is installed

The rear lift installs on top of the rear shock

The pay off is a full 12" of clearance in the rear.

This is the sort of terrain we ride.*

Re: Lift Kit For Big Red

I finally got the lift kit from super atv . Looks a little different from yours but same idea. Looks like a easy install. Have a few winter projects to do on big red along with oil change and glove box install . saving money for the winch.

Re: Lift Kit For Big Red

Has anyone tried the lift kit from xtreme? . looks nice in the pic and can get it for around $200. Im wanting to do a few projects on BR this spring.

Robdog, those gloveboxes can be a pain to get them to open/close right. I had to adjust and readjust the latch several times and still is not perfect.

Re: Lift Kit For Big Red

It looks like a good kit Hatcher. As for the glove box I have mine so it stays closed no matter how the knob is turned. I had to adjust it several times as well.

Re: Lift Kit For Big Red

I have installed the x-treme kit. It was easy to install and was well made. The paint was powder coated and looked great. I would do it again.

Kinda lame mother honda wouldn't include the glove box. When you buy a civic doesn't it have a glove box door?

I think the digital dash not being included is lame also!

Re: Lift Kit For Big Red

Installed the lift kit and the glovebox door today. I really like it 2 inches taller it just looks right. kept the sway bar. Glovebox is ok ,overcomplicated to install but not really a big job.
