They are, but when you did the FE you were almost half-way there.

I had to cut a piece out of the original fender section to get my tailight to bolt up. I also had to use my dremel and cut quite a bit to get the undertail to fit correctly.

Once on, it looks a ton better than stock though.

I looked at taking the passenger pegs off but that also looks like alot of work!!! lol
Glad you said that. I actually have my rear light tree off for the track. Wanted to get the hot bodies one...you shouldn't have to do all that cutting crap. Its just a piece of plastic that your breaklight bolts to. If anyone has bought an undertail that fits good right out of the box please post!

That is the key though; there is nothing for the light to bolt to!!!!!! They use the stock undertray that you cut to get the mouting brackets on for the light. Take a look:
http://www.hotbodiesracing.com/installdocs/323.pdf

I might try the Taylormade FE next; but keep the plate mounting the same as what I have now; the Bike Litez SS kit.

The thing is I kinda want to keep all the factory pieces intact for resale. The hotbodies definately looks good all done up. I looked up the taylor made when you mentioned it last, but their undertail is with the undertail exhaust correct? How does the bike lites fit? Still have to fab for the breaklight?

re: (2008 Only) CBR1000RR Accessories

The Taylormade has nothing to do with their exhaust as the '08 is not an undertail exhaust. The Taylardame FE replaces everything; break light included. I'm still not 100% sold on the replacement light though.

The Bike Litez is probably a 90% on the fitment side. Where the stock colored OEM plastic piece comes into contact with the Bike Litez there is a small gap; so I used some door sealant to close the gap. Where the turn signals are on the Bike Litez, there is a small gap. I'm thinking it was to make fitting it easier. The brake light is mounted with double side tape, but it cannot be pulled out of the bike though; even without the tape. The stock bodywork and the FE keep it there.

I was also able to get an OEM connector so I kept the wiring stock and just have a new plug for the FE.

If you want to keep things intact, the Hotbodies is not for you. The Bike Litez is probably the best solution right now. The SS mounts the plate to the battery box and you do have to drill holes; two to be exact. That plate location might get you stopped, so the non-SS kit might be the way to go.

My frame sliders are no cut and they are on the bike in the pics. That pic does not show my tinted headlights but I will post them up soon.

Have installed the evo-tech fender elim. -- took some time, but look and works great. classy look -- get some small blinkers - stock are way to big for the tidy tail
