Problems With Electronics
I just have a Question. I have a problem with my honda cbr 600. The digital
gauges have all quit working. When I engage the hand or foot brake it all comes back on. Just wondering what could be the problem |

Re: Problems With Electronics
The number one problem with electronics is connectivity. With the bike off unplug the cluster and then plug it back in, I would also unplug and reconnect all the connectors under the seat.
Electronic wiring issues can also be horribly bad to track down. The fact that it works only when the brake is applied though tells me something is possibly shorted or something. Is there any aftermarket tail lights installed on the bike or the rear turn signals changed where the wires would have had to of been spliced? I would start there. |

Re: Problems With Electronics
On my bike the tail light and guages are on one fuse, brakes on the other. When the brakes activate, it could send the current loop through the guages, assuming a loose chassis ground. Just a guess.
