Yeah but with what data? It doesn't mean those twisty backgrounds will be on there. It's designed for auto use. Around here those maps don't show most of the fun roads. But maybe they have updated the info.

City Navigator has every road you could think of... How long has it been since you've looked at the data they have?

That makes sense but (mind you my gps experience to date is with an etrex) I would hope upgrades would be available much like the firmware updates are. On the other hand, you'll want to just trash it in a couple years anyway and get the latest and greatest.

I use a 2620 in my Freightliner. You can update the firmware in the unit and I have already updated the map/software in it with a DVD that was available after I bought it.

One thing that does concern me. When you buy the 2620, the drive comes preloaded but they don't provide the DVD with the entire contents. This is a problem if you get a corruption on the drive, which I've had. I wish I bought the 2610 and a big compact flash card. Would have been better in a high vibration/shock environment.
