So...be it v-1 or escort, it's around $350 plus $170 for HARD and around $160 for laser blinders. $700 total! Is there a cheaper way? Maybe I can choose 1 or the other? Anyone know which radar units are used here in CA? Is it radar, laser or both?
I frequently encounter K band with the local cops and the sheriffs and Ka band with the CHP. I have heard that the CHP also employs laser (allegedly motorcycle cops), but I have had only one alert to laser in the last 3 years and I couldn't determine the source.

Cal CHP generally drive around blaring KA band. They say it's so everyone with detectors slows down. They don't usually use radar for traps.

Re: Radar Detectors - Great Read

I can not believe all of you well educated people have not commented on the horrible writing of this article.

I could not believe how many spelling errors, grammatical errors, the use of double negatives, ending with prepositions in a sentence, occured in this one article.

It made me laugh, he could spew all this content knowledge..... 2.4 ghz at 3.5 nanoseconds with the 7th schvezter valve, everything is done with ball bearings, maybe you need a refresher course, but could not spell ENSURE.
