I don't want a screen, just a camera to record onto my digital camera. *Must have color, sound and be wireless and work around the bike. *Tell me more about this 3000 foot range thingy...Can you source out the products for me as a package that would work together?
Use this in the pits connected to your VCR and TV

and this on the bike

Re: Wireless Pinhole Camera?

This stuff looks VERY cool, but I am just trying to have some fun and not blow $500. I am not filming Biker Boys 2 here...just some fun runs...something to do after riding, while having a beer...watch a bit of the days riding...My budget is like $50, maybe $75 if I have to...??

Would that little crappy one on ebay work with a bike??

Now here is a short clip. *This was record from one of those small cameras, but not wireless, and then copied from my camera to the memory stick and then to my computer...so there is a bit of degredation. *Right click and save...this file is over 1.3 meg for all you slow connecters..beware...

Umm, ok, nice video... but a) it could've been made with a small but much better (&#036 unit, and b) it's B/W, which is inherently more sensitive and detailed

It's color... It was not wireless and it was supposedly 300 lines of resolution...

Re: Wireless Pinhole Camera?

that where a tank mount USED camcorder from ebay or best buy, Circuit City, etc. on sale for $299 is best! if you record dirrectly to your source, that is much better, only issue is the size and price of the 'source.'

you can find a great deal on ebay if you look hard enough, but dont let someone tell you they did a minicam aetup for under $350 inboard the bike. Not and do a good job.

anythign under 320 you risk being 'grainy' on a regular TV.

Re: Wireless Pinhole Camera?

not bad. it is grainy IMO, but i deal with peeps that require it to be clear for legal reasons. Do you know what storage medium was used?

It was taped onto my MiniDV tape, (which looks a lot better), but then I copied to my memory stick as an MPG, which make it look a lot worse...I have not got the right wires here (not at home) so I can't download from the MiniDV right now.

Re: Wireless Pinhole Camera?

is it convenient? do you have a remote camera or tank mount? I dont see a windshiend, so im assuming its not on your tank.

if it has inputs for recording and its convenient, find a better method to transfer it to your computer and I think you might have a winner. If so, im now unclear what you are in need of. If it is clearer at teh source, I think you have a cood setup.

Re: Wireless Pinhole Camera?

This is a crude installation...but if you look at this picture, I have duct taped the pinhole camera under my headlight, and wired it up to my tank bag, which has my digital camera.

the digicam is definately the way to record. Im unclear now, looks like you have a decent setup?!? Just move the camera up to around the windscreen so it doesnt look low to the ground.

you can leave your camcorder in the pits and just get teh booster antennas listed above and I think you are set my friend!
